Joomla is my favourit CMS. The new era is gonna happen soon, because Joomla 1.5 is coming out soon. I have helped the core team to fix some bugs, and just today the final RC4 1.5 Joomla came out.

I have tested Joomla 1.5 on some of my sites and it is super fast. They really have done some major code tweaking. I have only big hope for Joomla.

So I still use 1.013 version of the stable non 1.5 Joomla till the 1.5 Joomla come out.

So I will write down the necessary core addons that I recommend using to have Joomla work the way you want it to work.

SH404SEF

is the best seo component out there for Joomla. It is made by French team. I never knew that French were such good Joomla coders. You can get it here http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,2380/Itemid,35/. The thing I recommend is to disable the category and sections in the urls, and to enable the sh404 module to take over the core joomla sef work. That way your page titles will be clean, your articles titles will automatically become H1 tags, it wlll also add H2 tags etc. Install it.

XMAP

Xmap is my second choice. It will generate your Joomla sitemap, it works better than Joomlamap component If you ask me.

SIMPLY LINKS

Another useful Joomla component that is managing changing the keywords into internal or external links. So each time a keyword appears in the text it will change it to desired link. This is really useful for good seo, because internal links are really important.

FIREBOARD

Forum component that easily itegrates into Joomla. I am not sre about this one 100 % because it requires heck of a lot of work when upgrading. So I am thinking switching to phpbb3 in the future.
