An Easy Way To Get More Links To Your Website

Most of you know that search engines are kind of lazy when indexing sites. Most of the sites are only partially indexed, that means that search engines bots visit and take a snapshot of an only a limited percentage of all the pages.

This depends on how popular the site is, how many incoming links it has, what is the PR of the site etc.

But that is another story. Usually, if the site is popular it has around 80 % pages indexed. I am not counting blogs that are in most cases not indexed because they don´t have enough incoming links.

So it might be that people are linking to your site and you do not get any benefit from links because those pages are not indexed. So first of all we have to find out where are those links located and then get them indexed.

We can not search for those links with search engines, because they are not stored in the index, that is why we need a different approach.

Each site probably has a traffic counter on the server that is tracking all the incoming hits, where the users came from etc. At least my host has that. The simple program that is already installed on the server (if it is not you can enable it) is called Awstats. It is not the best traffic analyzer but still, it is a free program.

So the best way is to log into your Cpanel (server) and check the incoming traffic to your site, and the links where people came from.

The next step is to check if these pages have your link and if they are already indexed. If not you can get them indexed.

So make a nice list of all the referrers.

How to index the pages

Well, there are always different approaches to do that. You can create static links to those sites and wait till they are indexed. You can create a special blog and first get it indexed and just drop all the links on that blog. And wait a few weeks till the job is done.

Another way is to use special sites like Pingomatic or Pingoat. But my advice is to use the static links from one of your sites that you created and indexed. That way you can easily monitor the whole process of getting the pages indexed.

Like I said you can use ping services like Pingomatic, but you have to submit each page a few times.

You can also use programs to ping your site, just search the web or create a custom script.

Soon you will be amazed how many links are out there and that you could benefit from. So I suggest considering this technique. So for example you publish a video on Youtube and post a link to your site - you can get it spidered that way and that way you get more incoming links that will help you rank better.
