I just migrated this site from Joomla 1.5 to Drupal 7. I am done with Joomla, it is really awkward. It still is not 100 % seo compliant. And that bothers me a lot.
IN this video you can see how I extracted all the articles from Joomla, they are neatly packed in the database table, then I imported that data to excel and later on imported all the articles to my Drupal site.
I used feeds module of course. I successfully mapped each field from my Excel CSV file. And with Drupal things works like you expect them to work. Not like Joomla where everything is broken.
I managed to import from Joomla 1.5 the following:
- all articles, 200 of them, I kept the published date, all the meta tags
- all comments, where I kept the date of comment creation, name of the commented, email and his website
- all the categories
The process went really smooth, feeds is a wonderful module for importing data into drupal.
